Deepavali of 2008 has been more remarkable than many other years that I remember. While it was the ‘thala deepavali’ for Priya & Ashwin (though Ashwin was away in Germany), it’s the first when Seema & Abhay have been in India, together. The whole family came together to celebrate it, particularly Praachi, after many many years. This years October has had more holidays than any other year that I remember. Also the year that I spent a bagful to get a handful of crackers. Its truly been a festival of lights.

  1. It was truly a memorable Deepavali. What I liked most is we struggling to get the auto mode ON on our digicam and once it was done and everybody was ready for the shot and the camera blinking & nikki running out of the frame :)

My Dad arranging all possible equipments to ensure sanjana lit the sparkles also was very sweet :)

  2. It was indeed a diwali worth memories to cherish.

Memorable moments : It was the shine of happiness on aunty’s face , when the whole family was complete(with the arrival Sridhar and Savitha with Sanju).

Also the way uncle was pampering sanju and ensuring people of all ages had their share of joy.

Of course….. I and Seema still recollect Sanju’s comments — “When i turned around(after lighting the cracker) to run , there was no place to run as KK was standing right behing me :-) “. We still recollect this and laugh , the innocence with which she expressed it, was memorable :-) .

  3. Great Diwali it was…….It was a long time since all of us were togenther………Infact It can be considered as first Diwali for me too……….first Diwali after I came back from Hostel……..:-)Or else I would have been alone in the Hostel gazing the lit up sky in silence………..

Truly it was a great Diwali
